Building My House
Upon a Rock
I will have faith in
Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
I will pray to Heavenly Father.
I will repent of any wrongdoing.
I will forgive others.
Successful...families are established
and maintained on principles of faith,
prayer, repentance, (and) forgiveness

Just what is this Book of Mormon
1.It is a book about the people on the American Continent in the Ancient times.
the American Indians the Nephites and Lamanites they were called. A remnant of the House of Israel; and also to Jew and Gentile It is an abridgment taken from the Book of Ether also, which is a record of the people of Jared, who were scattered at the time the Lord confounded the language of the people, when they were building a tower to get to heaven.
2.Through it you can learn where you decended from.
3.It is Book that testifies of Jesus Christ.
4.Talks about when Christ visited people on this Continent.
5.Tells that these people descended from Jerusalem where Christ grew up.
6. Talks about the qualities we need to have and work on Alma 5
A. Have ye been spiritually born of God?
B. Have ye received his imagine in your countenance?
C. Have ye experienced a mighty change in your hearts?
D. Do ye exercise faith in the redemption of him who created you?
E. Are ye stripped of pride?
F. Are ye stripped of Envy?
G. Have ye been sufficiently humble?
H. Have you made a mockery of your brother?
I. Have you heaped persecution upon your brethern?
J. Are you puffed up on the vain things of the World?
7. It is made of brass plates
8. It was translated by Joseph Smith through God the Father
9. King Benjamin talks about we need to be Charitible
10 The Book of Mormon connects the prophecies in the Bible to help us understand what is going on back then. Helps better understand some things in the Bible that is not clear to us.
11. It will help us grow closer to Heavenly Father, than by any other book you will ever read.
12. Teaches about Gospel Principals & basic doctrines and connects other scriptures.
13. Teaches the words of Christ study it out
14.Will help us in the world we live in if we do these things. 1 Nephi 10:23 apply to yourself and your family and put you name in the place of the words where it says , it, them etc.
15. Talks about the covenants they made with God and that we may learn what they were.
16. Read Moroni 9:3-6 and pray about it and see what happens.
17. Tells about how God deals with us when we are not keeping his commandments.
18. Tells about God dealings with the people on the American Continent.

What the Latter Day Saints believe
1.We believe in God the Eternal Father, and in his Son, Jesus, Christ, and in the Holy Ghost
2. We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression
3. We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel
4. We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, laying on of hands for the gift of the holy Ghost.
5. We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority , to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinanaces thereof.
6. We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
7. We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
8. We believe the Bible to be the Word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
9. We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe tht He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
10.We believe in the litereal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the new Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
11. We claim the priviledge of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worhsip how, where, or what they may.
12. We believe in being subject to Kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
13. We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul--We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.
I know I might have repeated some things but this was a talk given and I was taking notes. I added the thirteen Articles of Faith so people will know what The Latter Day Saints believe in.
