Tinsel Art

I made up a picture from a pretty card I had recieved and have enjoyed this picture for many years. Was really proud of my accomplishment since I felt I was not artistic at all.

Supples Needed

Picture frame w/glass liquid acrylic base paint.
India ink, waterproof colors, black & white
Drafting pen Glass satin, basic colors
Brushes: #0 and #3 and black & white for
Tracing paper shading.
Decoupage print, greeting x-acto knife
card, etc.
Clear acrylic spray

Clean Glass,
Trace pattern onto glass with india ink and drafting pen.
Spray pattern with clear spray to set ink (this keeps ink from smearing)
Fill in background with liquid acrylic, making sure glass is completely
covered. This may take two or three coats. Begin by outlining
design with #0 paint brush. Take your time, being very careful of
minute places in background . This is the secret of a beautiful
finished picture. Then, using larger brush, fill in rest of
background. Let dry completely before adding second coat.
When background is dry paint in glass stain. Colors may be subdued
by using either white or pearl with color.
When completely dry back picture with crinkled aluminum foil and
place in frame.
