This was sent to me today and this is what it said very good I thought.

"Ring... Ring..."

Hello, are you here God? I don't know if you know who I am,
people have told me that all I have to do is call and you will
be there anytime of the day, I sit here thinking why am I doing
this I am not even sure if you exist, something is pulling at my
heart, that is why I have called, I am lost in what to do.
I ask once again are you there God? Yes I am all you have to
do is ask.
God how are you doing? I was not sure if you would answer
or not, God I really don't know what to say, I have been told that
I can pour my heart out to you, God I am hurting can you help
Yes I can help you first you have to believe in me, ask for for-
giveness by praying this simple prayer:
Thank You for Dying
On The cross for my sins.
I am sinner, come into my
life so that I can have
Everlasting Life in you
Amen

Now that you have said this prayer you will constantly hunger
for my word, you can never get enough of it, you will want to read
it, don't keep it to yourself share it with others, because they may know
the joy you now have, be an example to others, because now that they
know that you are living for me they will watch you and look for the
changes you talk about.
Now I have a question for you how do you feel?
Oh Lord I feel so full of life there is no longer an emptiness in my
heart, I feel the joy that you told me about, now Lord will I loose this
joy?
No you will not loose it, it is eternal. live righteously always do
according to My will and you will not loose the joy.
Satan will try and tell you differently but don't listen to him your
walk with me won't be easy, you will get persecuted for your belief in
me. You will stumble and fall, but I will always be there to pick you up
and comfort you.
God thank you for being a friend thank you for your assurance and
love.
Your Son

The Mormon's Belief

The Thirteen Articles of Faith

1. We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in the Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost
2. We believe that man will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's Transgression
3. We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved,by obedience
to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.

4. We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are first. Faith in the Lord
Jesus Christ, second. Repentance, third Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins;
forth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
5. We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy; and by the laying on of hands
for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
6. We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles,
pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
7.We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of
tongues and so forth.
8. We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly, we also believe
the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
9. We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that he will
reveal many grat and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
10.We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisical glory.
11. We claim the priviledge of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all me the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
12. We believe in being subject ot kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying honoring and sustaining the law.
13. We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul-We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

Preparing a Prophet – The Early Life of Joseph Smith

Throughout history the Lord has prepared His prophets from an early age. Moses was saved from death when his mother placed him in a basket. Samuel was given to the Lord by his mother at an early age and then saw the Lord when still a child. Joseph Smith Jr. was no exception.

Joseph Smith Jr. was born 23 December 1805 in Vermont. His family later moved to New York. Joseph Smith's parents Joseph and Lucy Mack were very religious and placed great importance upon hard work, Bible study, and prayer.

One experience in young Joseph Smith's life shows the remarkable courage, strength, and faith that he would exhibit in later years. As a result of typhoid fever which Joseph Smith had contracted when seven years old, a painful infection settled in his leg. The doctors wanted to amputate, but Joseph refused. So the doctors decided to remove a section of bone. Joseph Smith refused alcohol for pain and then instead of being tied down insisted that his father hold him. "Then looking up into [his mother's] face, his eyes swimming in tears, he continued, 'Now mother, promise me that you will not stay, will you? The Lord will help me, and I shall get through with it."1 As the doctors began the procedure Joseph Smith screamed with pain. But when his mother entered the room he regained enough composure to say, "I will try to tough it out, if you will go away." 2
Lucy Mack Smith described her son Joseph Smith as a remarkably quiet, well-disposed child." 3 She played a great role in his upbringing as she sought for her children to seek salvation for their immortal souls. She "had a great deal of faith that [her] children were going to do something great," 3 and felt impressed to prepare them for this greatness.

Joseph Smith himself was child "much less inclined to the perusal of books… but far more given to meditation and deep study."4 He took time to contemplate the nature of God and religion.
Joseph Smith was not only born into a family that taught him to believe in God, to study the Bible, and to seek religious truth, but at a time when religion was a priority. When Joseph Smith was about twelve years old his family moved to the Palmyra New York area, an area that was involved in a great religious revival at the time. This area of New York is referred to as the "Burned-over District" because most people joined a religious sect.

It was into this religious fervor that young Joseph Smith was brought to ask the question, "Which church is true?"

Joseph Smith – Husband and Father

Much of the character of a man can be determined by how they treat their wife and children. The love and concern that Joseph Smith had for his wife Emma Hale and his children is apparent, and speaks much to the character of the man.
Throughout their seventeen years of marriage Joseph Smith and Emma suffered many hardships including the loss of six of their eleven children, two of which were adopted. Emma was often left alone as Joseph Smith was persecuted for his beliefs.

During separation the thoughts of Joseph Smith often turned to his beloved wife. On one occasion he wrote, "O my affectionate Emma, I want you to remember that I am a true and faithful friend to you and the children forever. My heart is entwined around yours forever an ever… P.S. Write as often as you can, and if possible come and see me, and bring the children."1
And the next year from Pennsylvania: “I feel very anxious to see you all once more in this world. … I pray God to spare you all until I get home. My dear Emma, my heart is entwined around you and those little ones. Tell all the children that I love them and will come home as soon as I can. Yours in the bonds of love, your husband." 2 Parley P. Pratt commented on the example of father and husband that Joseph Smith was to him, saying, "It was from him that I learned that the wife of my bosom might be secured to me for time and all eternity; and that the refined sympathies and affections which endeared us to each other emanated from the fountain of divine eternal love." 3 The prophet Joseph Smith taught that husbands and wives should be "companions, the nearest and dearest objects on earth in every sense of the word." 4 He admonished men to treat their wives kindly. He tried to practice what he preached. When his wife Emma was sick he constantly attended to her needs. One journal entry dated 2 October 1842 stated simply, "Emma continued very sick. I was with her all day." 5
Joseph Smith took advantage of the time that he had with his family, playing with his children, and loving his wife. Before his death, the marriage of Joseph Smith and Emma was sealed for time and all eternity.
Much praise is given to Joseph Smith's many accomplishments and the greatness of his character. But one aspect of his character that should be praised and exemplified by all is best expressed in the oft-repeated entry in the Prophet’s journal: “I was with my family.” 6

Joseph Smith Jr.

Joseph Smith Jr. was the first prophet and president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church). It was through him that Christ revealed information on how to restore His Church. After his death, John Taylor wrote, “Joseph Smith, the Prophet and Seer of the Lord, has done more, save Jesus only, for the salvation of men in this world, than any other man that ever lived in it.” This statement expresses the reason why members of the Church are anxious that his story be told. Because there is so much information about the amazing things Joseph Smith witnessed and revealed this article will only be a brief outline of the most important events of his life.

Joseph Smith Jr. was born in Sharon Vermont to Joseph Smith Sr. and Lucy Mack. At eleven years old Joseph’s family moved to Palmyra, New York. In 1820, Joseph had an experience that changed his life. In answer to a prayer about which church to join he had a vision where he saw Heavenly Father and Christ. They informed him that all of the Churches were wrong and that he should join none of them.

During the night of September 21, 1823 Joseph Smith was visited five times by an angel named Moroni. He told Joseph of ancient records known as the gold plates. On January 18, 1827 Joseph eloped with Emma Hale because her father did not approve of the marriage. That same year in September, Joseph was given the gold plates by the angel Moroni. He was also given the Urim and Thummim, objects that helped in the translation of the Book of Mormon. He then began working on the translation. In February of 1828, Martin Harris who had been helping Joseph in translating, took and lost the first 116 pages of the Book of Mormon. Joseph was instructed by the Lord to continue translating from where he left off and not go back.

On May 15, 1829 John the Baptist appeared to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery and ordained them to the Aaronic Priesthood. Joseph and Olive baptized each other as instructed. In that same year Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery received the Melchizedek Priesthood from the Apostles Peter, James and John.

In June of 1829 Joseph completed the translation of the Book of Mormon, and by March 26, 1830 the first printed copies of the Book of Mormon were available. On April 6, 1830 Joseph officially organized the Church in Fayette, New York. In September of that same year Joseph Smith called the first missionaries to preach to the Native Americans.

In 1831, Joseph received revelation that the Saints should gather in Ohio and in July of the same year he received further revelation that the city of Zion should be built in Independence, Missouri.

On March 18, 1833 the First Presidency of the Church was organized with Joseph Smith as the President and Prophet and Sidney Rigdon and Frederick G. Williams as counselors. In December of the same year, Joseph Smith gave the first patriarchal blessings of the restored Church to his parents, three of his brothers, and Oliver Cowdery.

On May 8, 1834 Joseph led Zion’s Camp to help the Saints under attack from the mobs in Missouri. In 1835, the Doctrine and Covenants, which contained all of Joseph Smith’s revelation concerning the Church thus far, were accepted as a standard work of the Church.

On March 27, 1836 the Kirtland Temple was completed and dedicated. Just a few days later on April 3, Jesus Christ, Moses, Elias, and Elijah appeared to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery in the Kirtland Temple to restore priesthood keys. From December 1838 until April 1839 Joseph Smith was held in Liberty Jail in Missouri on exaggerated charges.

Revelation to build the Nauvoo Temple and begin baptisms for the dead was received on January 19, 1841. In 1842 before the temple was completely finished Joseph Smith received his endowments.

By 1844 trouble was escalating between the Saints and their neighbors and Joseph and Hyrum turned themselves over to government officials. Joseph and Hyrum were sent to Carthage Jail, where on June 27, 1844 both were killed by a mob.

This morning I was listening to Round Table discussions and it was about Christ in Gethsemane and what he went through.
They talked about how they would brutally beat the olives down off the Olive tree they did not just pick them like we do cherries. They used this as symbolism of Christ how he was brutally beaten with whips. Which they used to beat the Olives off of the tree.
They talked how they get the Olive Oil pressed out by pressing the Olive until the Oil came out and would drop onto the stone and it was blood red and would drip out onto the stone and it would stain the stone and it would remain that there until the rain came and sun that would fade it out. Andrew Skinner said when he was in Jerusalem with his students and saw this process he really was stunned by it because he thought about Christ and it has left an impression on him forever.
They brought up that when Christ was in the Garden of Gethsemane and he dropped drops of blood and when he fell down in the garden it was because this was the first time he had ever experienced sin and what it really felt like. He was pressed down so hard he was weak and pleaded with God for release from this pressure that was upon him. They said that the Garden was in the place of the Olive tree and he went there often to pray and teach his disciple and also close to the place of his burial the tombs he knew this is where he would be laid down for rest.
I just thought it was very interesting this morning. They brought up this is why Judas Iscariot knew where to lead the guards to Christ and betray him because he went there many times with Christ to be taught.

I learned something today about when Christ called the twelve to help him. I never thought about it much until they talked about it on the Round Table Discussions on the BYU Channel. He did not call men for their education or their wealth. He chose men that had ability to do what he asked of them. They were fishermen from Galilee and were hard workers my thoughts they were probably not rich and were humble and teachable. One was chosen from a small town from Judea and that man was Judas. I just thought that was very interesting to learn.

I received this today from my daughtere it made me feel good and hope it does the same for you.

This is a great Poem. The part in blue is something you should use to
help your self-talk. Put it on your mirror so it is the first thing
you see in the morning.

A POEM ABOUT OUR GIRLFRIENDS.........

Someone will always be prettier.
Some will always be smarter.
Some of their houses will be bigger.
Some will drive a better car.
Their children will do better in school.
And their husband will fix more things around the house.

So let it go,
and love you and your circumstances.

Think about it!

The prettiest woman in the world can have heartache in her her heart.
And the most highly favored
woman on your job may be unable to have children.
And the richest woman you know,
she's got the car, the house, the clothes....
might be lonely.

And the word says, "If I have not Love, I am nothing."
So, again, love you.
Love who you are.
Look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say,

"I am too blessed to be stressed and too anointed, to be
disappointed!"
"Winners make things happen--
Losers let things happen."

Be "blessed" ladies.....
and pass this on to encourage another woman.

"To the world you might be one person,
but to the one person you just might be the world!
SEND THIS TO YOUR FAVORITE WOMEN...I JUST DID!

"Angels Do Exist...
but, sometimes, they don't have wings,
We call them Friends!"

The Family: A Proclamation to the World

This came from a Prophet in our Day as to the Family and how he feels we are doing with our families.
Our Minister or Bishop asked the Congregation to memorize this . I have tried to do it and so far have gotten to Paragraph seven. I did not really understand what the Proclamation told me until I started to memorize it. Then I realized what it was telling me that I should be doing. I feel this man was inspired when he gave it as a challenge. Read and see what you think if, this would be a good thing for the World. There were proclamations given in the Bible in the Bible days and this is a warning from God to us in our day.

1. We, the First Presidency and the Council of the Twelve Apostles of the The Church of Jesus of Latter day Saints, solemnly proclaim that marriage between a man and woman is ordained of God and that the Family is central to the Creator's plan for the eternal destiny of His children.

2. All human beings--male and female--are created in the image of God. Each is a beloved spirit son or daughter of heavenly parents, and, as such, each has a divine nature and destiny. Gender is essential to the characteristic of individual premortal, mortal, and eternal identity and purpose.

3. In the premortal realm, spirit sons and daughters knew and worshipped God as their Eternal
Father and accepted His plan by which his children could obtain a physical body and gain earthly experience to progress towards perfection and ultimately realize his or her divine destiny and as an heir to eternal life.

4. The divine plan of happiness enables family relationships to be perpetuated beyond the grave. Sacred ordinances available in holy Temples make it possible for individuals to return to the presence of God and for families to be united eternally.

5. The first commandment that God gave to Adam and Eve to their potential for parenthood as husband and wife. We declare that God's commandment for His children to multiply and replenish the earth remains in force. We further declare that God has commanded that the sacred powers of procreation are to be employed only between man and woman, lawfully wedded as husband and wife.

6. We declare the means by which mortal life is created to be divinely appointed. We affirm the sancity of life and of its importance in God's eternal plan.

7. Husband and wife have a solemn responsibility to love and care for each other and for their children. "Children are an heritage of the Lord." (Psalms 127:3). Parents have a sacred duty to rear their children in love and righteousness to provide for their physical needsto teach them to love and serve one another, to observe the commandments of God and to be law abiding citizens wherever they live. Husbands and wives ---mothers and fathers---will be held accountable before God for the discharge of these duties.

8. The family is ordained of God. Marriage between a man and woman is essential to His eternal plan. Children are entitled to birth within the bonds of matrimony, and to be reared by a father and mother who honor their marital vows with complete fidelity.

9. Happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of The Lord Jesus Christ. Successful marriages and families are established and maintained on principles of faith, prayer, repentance, forgiveness, respect, love, compassion, work, and wholesome recreational activities.

10. By divine design, fathers are to preside over their families in love and righteousness and are responsible to provide the necessities of life and protection for their families. Mothers are primarily responsible for the nurture of their children. In these sacred responsibilities, fathers and mothers are obligated to help one another as equal partners. Disability, death, or other circumstances may necessitate individual adaptation. Extended families should lend support when needed.

11. We warn that individuals who violate covenants of chastity, who abuse spouse or offspring, or who fail to fulfill family responsibilites will one day stand accountable before God. Further
we warn that the disintegration of the family will bring upon individuals, communities, and nations the calamities foretold by ancient and modern prophets.

12. We call upon responsible citizens and officers of government everywhere to promote those measures designed to maintain and strenthen the family as the fundamental unit of society.
