Extermination of Israel
Now that the Palestinians will soon have the Gaza strip back, one might think Hamas would relax and live in peace. I saw an interview with Mahmoud Zahar, a Hamas Leader. Look at these choice quotes:
"Therefore, we will not take over the Gaza Strip and live there peacefully while the Zionist enemy is detaining thousands of our sons and occupying the West Bank. The resistance must move to the West Bank to expel the occupation."
"...We do not and will not recognize a state called Israel."
"We are against any economic cooperation with Israel."
"Let Israel die."
"We will enter (Gaza) and sully the dignity of Israel with our feet. We will stand on the ruins of the Israeli settlements and tell our people we have prevailed. This is nonnegotiable."
Does anybody else recognize this as anti-semitism? I realize that the Arabs have been against Israel for centuries, but the thing that bothers me is that a lot of liberals in the US and Europe support the anti-Israel movements. I have no idea why, but they do.
I wish Mahmoud Zahar would say more stuff like this quote:
"The land of the evacuated settlements should serve as the lungs for the economy to breathe. Schools, playgrounds, agriculture and industry should be established on this land."

Last time there was a state of Israel was about 2000 years ago (more if you talk about an independant Israel that was a puppet state of Rome, Syria, Babylon, etc...)So for at least 2000 years, Palestinians (both muslim and Jewish in faith) lived int he areas now defined as Israel and Palestine. They did get along, contrary to popular Zionist psuedo history. The only wars there were from invasions of outsiders like the Ottoman Turks. Flash forward to the mid 20th century. The western powers, feeling really guilty about not stepping in to stop Hitler sooner, create the state of Israel. The proceed to kick the Palestinians out to make room for the Eastern and Central European Jews that wanted ot get out of Europe and form thier own state. The UN took a pageout of the US Playbook on Indian Affairs. It didn't matter that people lived there and have been farming there for thousands of years. That is why they are bit pissed at Israel and not too fond of the west. How would you like it if I cam to your house wiht a bulldozer and said...you have to leave so we can make room for someone else? I suspect you would be pretty pissed and start shooting at me. Throw in 50+ years of the Iraeling army bombing and shooting up civilian areas and buldozing houses, while I disagree with suicide bombers, I can certainly understand why they do it. They are like rats in a corner that are not going to give up one inch of territory. Think about that...put thier shoes on...
